Welcome to the BVB frequently asked questions page. Forming a partnership with BVB is an exciting opportunity and we would like to answer some of your questions. We are always available to answer additional questions, please let us know if you have any.
How did this opportunity present itself?
Sheldon and Darrel were notified there was an opportunity to partner with BVB International Academy late last year. Their interest was piqued as the values of the BVB IA Academy matched their vision for youth development soccer. After multiple meetings both parties agreed that starting a chapter in Washington would be beneficial to the community.
What is the difference between BVBIA - WA training compared to other clubs -
We will be utilizing BVB International Academy’s training curriculum. To enhance player development in a more structured training environment that is fun yet challenging. The curriculum is structured for players to achieve age specific skills. In addition, players will receive 4 evals per year. Our players have a direct pathway to college through the CAP program and through BVB professional academy in Germany via our School of Excellence. Coaches will be certified in the BVB methodology by BVB international academy directors.
What league do your teams play in?
Currently our players will play in the Washington Premier League(WPL) and the National Premier League (NPL) through US club.
How many days will teams train?
11v11 and 9v9 teams will train 3 days per week.
7v7 teams will train 2 days per week.
Who will be the coach assigned to my kids?
The coaching assignments will be determined once all teams are formed and finalized. BVB international Academy provides a high-level coaching staff that meets all the requirements under the BVB coaching guidelines.
Will financial assistance still be available?
Yes, a limited number of scholarships will be available. For more information, please contact Stacy Schroeder Club Administrator.
How often is your uniform cycle?
After your initial purchase of the required home and away kits, players will be required to purchase one new kit per year. Players will wear the authentic BVB kit that is worn by the first team in Germany.
Will there be tryouts?
Yes, however we are always willing to look at new talent and invite kids to join through out the year depending on the needs of the club.
Will spirit wear be available?

Where will the club practice?
Fields will be allocated through the school district and the city. Renton- Team practices/Games may be held South of I-90 (with the exception of Bellevue College) Renton and the Tukwila area. Northshore teams will practice at North Creek Fields. Games will be held throughout Eastern, Central and Western Washington depending on the league your player plays in.
